Last year someone said (on the article titled "First Look: Air New Zealand lounge Brisbane") that they were denied access to the NZ lounge when traveling on Eva and were instead sent to the QF lounge so you mught not get a choice as to which lounge you can use.
The QF lounge is still very nice but can get busy at that time of morning as flights to HKG, SIN, NRT and LAX all leave between 9am and midday.
Also the Singapore Airlines lounge is only open 3 hours prior to SQ flights which means it's currently open from 6:10am till 9:10am then open again at 11:40am till 2:40pm then open again from 8:35pm till 11:35pm. (on Mon, Thu and Sat its also open from 3:10pm until 6:10pm)
(However, the Star Alliance master lounge directory still indicates the Qantas lounge for EVA Air passengers in Brisbane, but with differing information, I'd be more inclined to believe the airline's own website.)

Looks like it's best to ask at check-in.
That is why I had the urge to ask AusBT in the first place. I will update this thread on Wednesday with the current lounge access situation.
Thanks for updating us it's a pretty good value business class ticket to Asia at around $A1,600 one way or ~$2,500 return. Noticed their website has been updated too:
VIP Lounge Location :

Not sure if any readers would have some recent experience?

According to EVA Air's website, the Air New Zealand lounge is now used, so Qantas likely won't be an option: http://www.evaair.com/en-us/managing-your-trip/airport-and-transportation/worldwide-airports/?airport=BNE
