After status-matching to Freccia Alata Plus last year, it looks like I'll be flying Korean Air, soon, in business class. As such I was wondering if there is any chance that there may be someone in the readership who may have flown Korean Air with Alitalia FAP status, and whether you've experienced any notable recognition, comp upgrades, etc.?
Also, were the bonus miles for your flight credited to your MilleMiglia account as per what is stated on the website, or did you earn just the percentage based on mileage flown & class of travel? Thanks in advance!
I also got the status match and flew Korean airlines last month (In Economy) and the status did not even show on my boarding pass. By showing the card at queues and the lounge I was able to gain entry but I wouldn't expect massive recognition (in fact I'd be happy to get any at all).
Seoul airport is a mess and gets very crowded so keep that in mind with Security queues sometimes over 1 hour (and no priority line). If you're coming from the Seoul train station on the AREX train then you can checkin using the in town facilities like Hong Kong. The major benefit of this is your passport is stamped prior to boarding the train so upon arrival at Seoul you can use the Crew lanes.
