News out today that the owners of the Hilton Melbourne South Wharf have sold the hotel. After the sale completes (end of May), the hotel will be rebranded as a Pan Pacific
What the....! Not good at all. They went from 3 properties to 2 and now going to be just a DoubleTree. I thought SYD is bad enough with only one (very overpriced) Hilton. Hopefully they can get their S...t together and aquire a few more properties in the after all, two biggest cities in Australasia.
Hilton and Pan Pacific are now sending messaging that the changeover will take place on the night of the 27th of July. The hotel will operate as a Pan Pacific as of 28th July.

Agree jianga - both Accor and Starwood/Marriott are shaping up as the go-to business hotel loyalty programs...
