Hi All,

Is there any substantial difference in premium economy between Qantas' old 747s (still with F) and the more-recently refurbished ones (with the Skybed II's)?

Thanks

The seat itself is identical in both configurations. The only difference is the PTV, which is the older Rockwell Collins system on the 4-class aircraft and the newer Panasonic system on the 3-class. Picture quality and selection are better on the latter.

Also note that the windowless rows differ between the two as well (row 36 on the 4-class and rows 38 and 39 on the 3-class).

Exact same seat configuration, quality of screen differs though as Feka mentioned

The 747 premium economy seat is not any variant of the Skybed. It's the very old biz class seat from the late 90's.

it's quite cramped and given its 2-4-2 it gets ugly if you have a window/middle seat!
