After a year and a half, my Star Alliance Gold membership from Avianca Brasil has just expired. As I still have QF Gold for the next year, I would love if anyone knows of any Status Matches currently available for obtaining Star Alliance Gold. Thanks!
There are no status matches on Star Alliance airlines currently on offer.
Currently United and Air Canada seem to be doing status challenges which require you to fly ~15 flights in 90 days aboard their services.
If you are looking for Star Alliance lounge access then a paid up Air Canada or United Club card lets you access any star alliance business class lounges before any star alliance flight. Air Canada is currently ~AU$650 per year and United is ~AU$800 per year (with current exchange rates). You can also bring a guest into the lounge.
Finally Avianca sells Star Alliance gold membership for US$2200 per year but thats up to you to decide if its worth that much.
I was of the impression Turkish are still doing status matches, albeit with the proviso you fly on their metal once within four months for it to continue.

Do you have a link for buying the Air Canada card? I cant seem to find one through Google searching
I guess my status match Avianca gold status is also about to expire then.............I just cant read the communications in Portugese! Yes exactly. Ive had the same issue and even tried messaging them to no avail. I even took some flights on Star carriers but nothing appeared on the account.
If you just want to buy lounge membership, why not one of the general programmes like Priority Pass? Some of the lounges aren't as good as *G lounges but then some, arguably, are better.

Thanks, Outhere1000 it wasn't me asking but was instead TimHughes. A mistake was made where he put his comment in the quotes section.
