What trip are you most excited about in 2013? Are you flying a new airline you've not flown before, a new type of plane, heading to a new destination, maybe even your first time in First Class?

Al you sound like someone who works at AusBT! That's an interesting question to ask as the year comes. I am interested to see what people post on this 'question' particularly which airline they are flying.
I will be flying to Japan sometime early next year and I am most looking forward to taking a Boeing 787, and if the budget allows, I will fly to China as well and hopefully get to go onboard a Boeing 747-8!

Hi aero-seat, I don't but I think like all of us working at AusBT could be a bit of a 'dream job'!

You're travelling in the wrong direction! When I do round-the-world tickets I always travel East to West...you rarely get jet lag that way as you're travelling with your body clock, rather than against it. But maybe you have scheduling reasons for going the other way. Regardless, sounds like a great trip. Enjoy!

I don't yet have a special trip planned for 2013 but as I will be doing more international flying into Asia I am hoping to be able to do something with SQ from Singapore or Cathay from Hong Kong, at the end of a work trip, over to Europe. My domestic flying is with Virgin Australia so maybe I'll burn all my points and some cash to treat myself to an SQ first class 'suite' from Singapore to Europe or London.
Also thinking of jumping over to Japan from Hong Kong and booking a 787 on ANA or JAL!

Flying F on the Qantas A380 from LHR - MEL on Jan 2nd. Wont be able to top that I think.
The best trip of 2012 was MEL - LHR in J on Cathay Pacific, did Mel - HKG in the new Cathay J class which was awesome, did the HKG - LHR in the old J class but did get to fly upstairs on the 747 which was a ambition of mine.
Enjoy the travells all.

Have you flown F on Emirates? I personally prefer it over Qantas.

Excited about ADL-MEL-HNL-LAS-HNL-MEL-ADL, but only sitting in Economy and worse DeathStar for some of it. Least excited about ADL-CBR (which was direct with DJ, but now via MEL) adding 2hrs to each trip. Oh well. At least there is lounge membership to look forward to :-)
Have a great 2013
