I just want to know if the EK tie-up with QF will result in All Halal Food being available for flights to and from DXB. All EK flights are Halal and usually when an Western Airline is flying into a Muslim Country, passengers do not have to request MOML (Muslim Meal) as all food on thoses flights are Halal.
Will this be the case with QF, or will I still have to request MOML for QF Flights to DXB???

I would still suggest that the food ex AUS wouldnt be gaurenteed to be Halal as the flight isnt technically to Dubai. That being said the catering ex DXB will be as they are using EK catering up there and they dont serve anything else but Halal.

But won't they be marketing the flights between australia to dubai to people from dubai? Would imagine they'd have to adjust the menu the same way they have chinese food on the HKG to Aus flights?

Spinoza - that is true. All flights into HKG have a Chinese-flavour (esp on CX). I know when flying SQ to the sub-continent, its very much Indian style food. EK, TG & EY do the same. Not all food ex. Aust is Halal, I am aware of that, but the flight is not making any stop-overs, its going direct to DXB, so one would assume it to be Halal.
I flew SQ to Lahore a few years ago and we had to request MOML for the BNE-SIN flight, however on the SIN-LHE leg, we got offered a choice for the meal.
CX got in trouble in 2011 for having a bun-roll with Pork Mince inside on a Flight ex.HKG. This is the first Muslim country that QF are flying to, so I am just curious... Guess its a wait and see...

Not true, QF already flies to a 'Muslim' country, the largest in fact in the world. Indonesia.
