Later this year I will be doing PER-SYD-MEL (Y) which should give me the SC and eligible sectors I need to upgrade from Silver to Gold.
My return flight MEL-ADL-PER (Y) is two days later. Would my SC credit fast enough for me to get Gold benefits on the way back? Could I call up the GCC within the two days and ask them to manually review my account? (All flights are with VA)
Just eager to make full use of my first ever 'good' status :) Thanks!
In my experience, QFF have normally been quick to apply points and SC's to my account normally within a few hours of the completion of my journey. I would say 2 days should be plenty of time :)
My recent Virgin domestic flights have taken around 4 days to show in my account. Two weeks ago i flew Melb to Auckland on VA and the points and SC took 9 days to appear. I was about to lodge a missing points claim.
Flight postings from VA operated flights seem to have been on a go slow lately. I am not sure that I would trust them to post fast enough at the moment.
My recent experience is that VA flights are taking 4+ days to credit. SQ on the other hand have been coming through next day. I have no idea why....
I'm VA Gold and 6 flights in the last month have taken a minimum of 7 days to be posted. VA processing has really slowed down lately. Hope the phone call makes a difference.

Can you expedite SC that will upgrade me to Gold?

Should be fine with Virgin, email them and let them know of the situation and they will flag your membership. Although they do review daily.

Thanks everyone for your feedback - I will let you know if calling them up in the 2 day period will make it quicker (flights are in September though).
