We are heading to India next month, and will have a fair bit of gear (2 laptops, 2 mobiles, CPAP machine) - has anyone used a traditional power board (4-6 outlet) then plugged it into the travel adapter, particularly in India ? We'll be in Mumbai.

There is a thing called Mogics Donut but it doesn't cover plugging into the Indian system.

I haven't been to India so I can't say for India but I've done it in so many other countries including all over Europe, USA (and Canada), UK (Singapore, HK) so I don't see why India would be any different.

Took a fairly generic power board from Oz to India and ran just fine didn't experience any issues and especially in Mumbai you shouldn't have any issues with the power supply current as well.

Thanks Orus.....seems to be the status quo :) Might get a surge protected board to cover the bum !

A six gang power board and international adapter plug is part of my standard travel kit. Very useful when hotel rooms have very few plugs.

My power board accepts plugs from all over the world which makes it even more useful.
