I'll soon be flying from Singapore to Melbourne with my cousin. I'll be in F and he is currently in Y (But I'm hoping to get a paid upgrade to J invite email)
Anyway... Does anyone know if we can use the EK lounge in Melbourne on arrival??
While no arrivals lounges, can't you use the Qantas departure lounges after clearing customs and immigration? Either the business or Qantas Club lounge. I haven't tried this but their policy says:
Eligible if connecting to or from a Qantas or Emirates international flight on the same day.
One guest allowed and does not need to be travelling.
Not sure what you might be able to do with any luggage since these lounges are airside in the domestic terminal.

Generally that's only applicable if connecting to another flight but you can always try your luck with the lounge dragons.
I don't know. We are arriving at 7am in MEL. We have a flight to CBR @ 3pm. I wonder if we can use the International lounge instead of transiting to Domestic. We were hoping to have a few hours in MEL CBD
Aust int and dom terminals are completely separate, this is what you have to realise.
Sometimes its in the same building, but you cannot access int dep lounges once incoming immi cleared unless on int to int transit.
Also, dep and arr at Aust int airports are upstairs and downstairs, not like in SIN where its the same level for arr and dep, where they just shut doors so inc and outgoing pax are separate by glass.
The flight to CBR will dep from an Aust dom terminal, you cannot get onto this flight to CBR from the int terminal unless you are a VIP with your own plane.

There are no arrivals lounge at any Australian airports so you won't be provided any form of arrival lounge access.

You will have access to the domestic business lounge by virtue of connecting from Emirates F.

Jhor, you want to access EK lounge in the int terminal, this is not possible in your case.
QFd J lounge is accessible in your case.
What the others have said, is that you can access the MEL QFd J lounge, in T1 at MEL airport.
Int arr at MEL at T2.
T1 and T2 are close by, walkable.
Very expensive to catch a taxi to MEL CBD, or even the Skybus is also very pricey.
Check www.skybus.com.au for fares, and taxis might be near $60 or $70 one way.
Parkroyal MEL airport has day rooms, about $100 for 5 hours or so, not bad, I have used them before.
