Yes, basically, Saver Lite is the same as the current "Saver" fares – it contains no checked baggage, and there's no ability to purchase extra baggage on top of it.
Thank you for the great answer chrisjrn. I am interested in travelling with my family but don’t want to spend a ton and this Saver Lite option seems to be a good one.

Anyone heard anything about Saver Lite? Some of the documents of Virgin Australia's transition to Sabre say a Sabre Lite fare class.

The new "Saver" fares include one bag.
Other than that, no real difference.

It's going to become a little bit like the Air New Zealand 'Seat', 'Seat & Bag' type thing. Only classier.

Oh... that's pretty similar to Jetstar's old fare types:
Jetsaver Light = Saver Lite
Jetsaver = Saver
Jetflex = Flexi
Starclass = Business
