Quick question for the brains trust. I'm planning a return trip with my wife flying business to Paris from Melb next year. I'm currently OWE via Qantas FF. Looking to try CX via Hong Kong.
Just not sure where to credit the points and status credit earn. To QFF or Asia Miles (Marco Polo Club)? Most of our domestic travel is Qantas and international trips are usually to Europe or North America. Not many trips to Asia thus not currently a FF with Cathay.
Probably worthwhile to continue to credit QFF as CX is also OW so you're not getting any additional benefits. Plus you'll continue to earn more QFF points to redeem. Let's say CX were Star Alliance then it would make sense to start shifting some credits there to get status with Star.
