Hi all,

Found on the SYD airport FB page that Qantas is retiring OJM on the 30th. She will do the QF73 on the 30th as her final flight before going to Mojave.

Wonder why Qantas have done it so early... a few months before their first Dreamliner replacement (assuming the SYD airport page is correct).

747 flights reduce with the end of the Vancouver seasonal flights. I saw on another post that OJM has reached 120000 hours and is close to 26 years old, so would require expensive maintenance to keep flying.

Will all come down to the expensive checks.

By contrast the other aircraft with old-First VH-OEB received a mini cabin refresh and will be with Qantas until at least April when it will reportedly be used for some charter flights.
