Can the complimentary Qantas Club invitations be used in the Lounge at LAX?

Can the complimentary Qantas Club invitations be used in the Lounge at LAX? I know the invitations are valid for Qantas operated lounges only, is LAX Qantas operated or OneWorld operated? Is there a difference?

I'm not sure if they can be used at LAX but I suggest you don't bother. The QF lounge at LAX is a bit of a dump shared by BA,CX and QF. You're better off using that pass in MEL/SYD  international airports, where the Qantas Clubs are of a much higher calibre.

Yes, you can, or at least, you could in 2009 because I used a complimentary invitation for entry back then during a stopover. Not the best lounge in the world...and it was PACKED, but it was worth it to break up two long flights with a shower. I wouldn't bother if LA is your first departure point.

Thanks TheRealBabushka and chris_melbourne for your replies. I know the LAX lounge isn't that great but I still think I would prefer to be in there than not. And I have two passes, so will use one in Sydney on the way out, and still have another to burn in LAX. I will be coming in from SFO after driving from down from Napa, so would be nice to have a shower before I get on the flight home.

You can't.  Says right on the qantas website (go to LAX lounge page, it is the last line on the bottom).
