I am wondering if it is possible to get status points if I fly a JL codeshare on an EK plane.

Qantas Points and Status Credits are earned on all eligible booking classes, except on JAL and Japan Airlines affiliates codeshare flights operated by an airline other than Qantas or a oneworld alliance airline.
