Alaska actually carried over Virgin America's partnership with SQ, and SQ is their first Star Alliance airline partner, good job with that.
The Alaska miles earn chart for SQ flights published seems pretty lucrative, they award 350% miles for both suites and first (as opposed to 300% for A380 and 150% for 777 if credited to KrisFlyer) and 200-250% miles for business (as opposed to 125% if credited to KrisFlyer), which means flying Qantas, AA, BA, Finnair, Cathay, Hainan, Emirates, JAL, LATAM, Korean, Air France, KLM, Fiji, AeroMexico, Icelandair, Condor and now, Singapore and credit them to Alaska will earn more miles than total earned in QFF, Skywards, other Skyteam & oneworld FFP and KrisFlyer.
Go to their website if you're interested to ditch QFF and multiple other program in favor of earning Alaska elite status.

Any idea when you will be able to book SQ with Alaska miles. Would be very interested to see the redemption chart and allowed routes (website says "coming soon")

No date has been specified for using Alaska points. According to SQ:
KrisFlyer members will be able to redeem miles for Alaska Airlines-operated flights starting from 27 September 2017 while Mileage Plan members will be able to redeem miles for Singapore Airlines-operated flights at a later date.
