Can you upgrade a Emirates ticket bought on external travel website (aka Jetabroad)?

Hi Guys,

Was looking at buying a business class ticket from KUL to SIN to MEL, through Emirates website - but their timings are limited (KUL to SIN leg with Jet Asia), and I needed a later flight. I saw a option which fits my timings need through Jetabroad - however I noticed it only costs 30k points to upgrade from business to First, which I may take up.

My question is - does booking a ticket through Jetabroad still allow you to do this, or are there certain restrictions out there that will make me illegible to upgrade (or similar)? Do let me know thanks!

It doesn't really matter who sold you the ticket - Emirates themselves or some OTA like jetabroad.

Just make sure your agency uses EK stock for this (ticket number starts with 176xxx), and that you'll be getting right booking class & correct flight numbers in your reservation - otherwise you may not be eligible for the upgrade.
But having said that - I'd recommend calling Emirates directly & speak with their reservation agent, they should be able to book this itinerary for you.

Thanks - I went ahead and booked it in the end (paid) and it registers the booking number on Emirates website - so all good!
