I have a business trip coming up in November where I need to travel from Sydney to Nanjing, then on to Osaka and back to Sydney. The two airlines that fly direct from Nanjing to Osaka are Juneyao and China Eastern. I have flown China Eastern on their A330 but not on the rostered A321. Has anyone flown Juneyao or China Eastern on their A321. I will be undertaking this trip in business class and am seeking advice on which airline to choose?

It depends on price and whether you're a Star Alliance or SkyTeam/Qantas loyalist.

Juneyao became Star Alliance partner airline this year and you can earn miles through KrisFlyer, Aeroplan or MileagePlus, but you don't enjoy Star Gold benefits since you're not connect to other Star Alliance carriers.
If you're SkyTeam/Qantas loyalist, definitely pick China Eastern. Don't waste your opportunity to earn qualification miles, redeemable miles or Qantas Points, and qualification dollar if you're elite member of Delta.
Both airlines fly A321 with recliner seats, so if one is significantly cheaper, you can pick them even though you don't earn points.

I had quite a good experience China eastern business on A320. I’m pretty sure Qantas deal with China eastern only covers mainland to mainland and mainland to/from Australia. Fast train to Hangzhou willl give you ANA as an option, probably book one ticket HGH to KIX to SYD
