I'm planning a trip that involves an Emirates operated flight sold as a QF codeshare. I'll be travelling with my partner on the flight, but I'll be starting from a different location to my partner so will have a connecting flight, so we will have to book separately meaning we will each have different booking references. I assume this will mean we will not be seated together on the flight. Is it possible to pay in advance to book seats so that we will be seated together? If so do we do this through Qantas or Emirates?
You can login to your QF booking to get the EK reference number. You can then use the EK reference number to manage your booking on the Emirates website and select your seat. You then pay for it via Emirates (unless you are silver or higher then it's free I believe).
