I've noticed over the last week or so that Malaysia Airlines have been using their a380 on some of their MH122 SYD-KUL flights. Why are they doing this and for how long? I'm flying with them in 3 weeks and will be wanting them to use their usual a330 for the new business class.
Farrie, I would be be very happy to see the A380. We recently flew KUL - NRT - KUL on MH, there on the A330 and back on the A380. In all regards we both preferred the A380. Wider and more comfortable seats, more storage space, a printed menu, better food and drink and better toilet arrangements than the 1 toilet on the A330 and the second shared with economy. One caveat, as a solo traveller is the single seat on the A330 configuration, but overall the A380 hands down with MH.
I was in Y on the MH123 scheduled to depart on 6/11 but was delayed out of KUL till 0045 on 7/11. It appears the 5/11 flight was cancelled on my flight was a last-minute sub. Very lightly loaded in Y.

I late October MH advised their A380's will be removed from their schedule effective 5 March 2018.
