Flying business class with JAL out of JFK (late morning departure towards end of January); Air France is the designated lounge, but partner and I both hold QF Platinum so technically have a choice. Have trawled through previous posts, but would appreciate more recent opinion on lounges from fellow travelers.
JAL operates from Terminal 1 at JFK which is different to all other oneworld carriers so you don’t have any choice but to use the Air France Lounge. Qantas, Iberia, British Airways and one of the Qatar flights operate from Terminal 7 and American, Finnair, LATAM, Qatar and Cathay Pacific operate from Terminal 8. There is no airside transfer available at JFK so you are stuck in T1
The air France lounge is pretty good though so you are not missing out on a lot. Good food and drinks split onto two levels with good views outside and a few small tables with decent wifi to work if needbe.
