Hi all, In September this year I'm flying from FRA to SYD via SIN and I've got the option of SQ A380s or 77Ws on both the FRA-SIN and SIN-SYD flights. What would my chances be of getting both the upgraded J products? Do SQ (a dangerous generalisation I know) tend to put either upgraded aircraft on either of the particular route? I thought I did read somewhere that the flights to Sydney do tend to get newer aircraft but I'm potentially making that up.
If you depart on SQ325 (77W) 2013 J class you will connect with SQ 221 to SYD (A380) which has new 2017 business class. If nothing changes between now and September.
Chances of FRA-SIN SQ25 A380 having 2017 J class I would say are highly unlikely.
I would rank SQ longhaul business as follows: 1. New A380 business 2. 777/A350 Next Gen business 3. A380/777 old business
since the new a380 only flies to SYD and soon LHR and HKG, I would recommend taking the 777 between FRA and SIN (most 777s have updated cabins) and connect to SQ221 (only flight featuring new A380) to SYD, trying out the best SQ has to offer in business
