I'm not sure what you want them to do? They are an airline. There are probably many Australian companies that do nothing for indigenous Australians, yet Qantas is getting bagged out because they are highlighting indigenous art to the world?

It looks like a didgeridoo with wings on it. Maybe even looks like some has puked all over it.

Rod H - I think you should have left your comments with yourself. Saying aboriginal art looks like puke is not one for this forum.

I agree with Mark. This is a classic case of our modern politically correct world gone mad. Someone makes a comment expressing an opinion on something and others tear him down for doing so and attempt to impute racist motives to a perfectly innocent comment. Sad.

Just to clarify the incorrect observations made by a couple of posters . I am a great fan of aboriginal art as a matter of fact I have bark paintings , a didgeridoo and some painted spears in my house on display. As Mark said I did not say aboriginal art is puke nor am I racist. Far from it I lived an worked with the aborigine people for quite some years on cattle stations in my youth. There was nor never will be any comments by me that are seen to be against aboriginal art or the people. By saying it looks like a didgeridoo with wings on it is exactly what I think it does look like and is not anti the art at all. Also saying it looks like someone puked over it in no way can be seen as derogatory of Aboriginal art as it is how I think it looks on this aeroplane.

Flew on it on Friday. Looks nice compared to some of the older aboriginal aircraft. As for the plane, sitting in premium I was surprised how noisy it was. Much louder than an A380 (anc headsets saved the day). Also for only an hour and a half flight from Mel -> Syd I thought the seat was really uncomfortable and hard, hoping the seats need to be worn a bit in since they are only a week old.

I’m in the same boat (plane?!) as Rod, not a particular fan. To me, it looks as though they began the paint job and then ran out of paint. It has a bit of a half finished look.
