Is Virgin Australia's Partner Airlines page correct?

http://www.virginaustralia.com/au/en/experience/airline-partners/other-partners/

It shows that they have agreements with Emirates, which I am sure they just entered a major alliance with Qantas! It also shows partnerships with Cathay Pacific and I am sure they are one of Qantas' friends rather than Virgin's

They're all just interline agreements, which means that you can do Virgin/Emirates and Virgin/Cathay flights on a single booking if your travel agent knows what they're doing.

On the other hand, Qantas has Interline agreements with many airlines including Virgin America.

Nothing to read into this at all.

From my understanding those are just the ones that they have limited interline agreements with and not full commercial partnership agreements. It just makes it easier for passengers to transfer from Virgin's flights to the other airlines' flights. Most airlines have such agreements with each other which allows transfer of baggage between flights etc.

I've experienced this same level of partnership between Qantas and Air NZ, transferring from QF trans-tasman to NZ domestic
