I applied for the QF double points offer recently and have noticed a disparity in how they're awarded.

I flew QF11 and earned 29,400 points however the bonus points were only 17,000 - this is the earn rate for a Bronze FF for the same class ticket.

Why would QF award bonus points and ignore status? It isn't double points if a WP earns the Bronze rate. I'm sure it's in the fine print, however, this is pretty disappointing.

Yes, WP whinge, although I'd factored those double points into decisions to upgrade. Thoughts?

The terms and conditions clearly state:

"Bonus Qantas Points are based on the Base Rate which applies, or the Minimum Points Guarantee if applicable."

So it's not that disappointing and they're not really short-changing you as they did clearly say that it's based on the Base aka Bronze rate.

Yep henrus is right. And i don't think it was buried in the fine print either. I remember reading it in the promotion fairly prominently.

At first it would feel disappointing but as others have indicated it is very clear at what rate you will be earning the double points on. The glass half full point of view is that 17,000 points is still a nice little bonus :)
