Are you permitted to exit the airport if you are flying Malaysia Airlines with a 14 hour stopover at Kuala Lumpar? I am trying Malaysia Airlines' new A380 and I need to have a stopover at Kuala Lumpur for 14 hours. I was wondering if I could leave the airport and enter again if I book it on one booking. Thanks!

Yes. It is possible to leave the Airport for a short stopover however Kuala Lumpar is a long distance from the airport and you might find yourself restricted for time. Having travelled through KL 6 times now I have found that the best thing to do for an extended stop is to use one of thr better airport hotels or if you don,t have membership to an airline lounge do what I did and used the pay lounge which I found bettwer than the low cost airport hotel.

As long as you qualify for entry (if you're an Australian passport holder, you automatically get 90 days) you can indeed take a run into town if you have 14 hours. I recommend the KLIA Ekspres as it's just over half an hour's express train ride into the KL Sentral precinct.
There's a lot of good food to be had in KL, and there are also things to see if you're so inclined. I'll take it that you'll have eight hours or so to spend in the city, and there's quite a bit you can see and eat (it's Malaysia, it's all about the food!), e.g. the Bukit Bintang shopping malls, etc. etc. English is usually spoken to a functional extent.
I hope you enjoy your KL layover!

If you are traveling business class use the Priority Immigration queue, it's on the left side of the immigration hall. Also, check with your travel agent or MAS, we received a free room at the Pan Pacific Hotel for the day coming home from Frankfurt. And as silly as it sounds, the better shops, restaurants and lounges are actually in the satellite terminal. Enjoy.

If going to the city for a look around, take the KLIA expres train, takes you to KL Central, from here you can get the Light rail/monorail to various other areas like KLCC, KL sentral is not much more than a terminal for trains and monorail etc. If taking a cab from KLIA alow at least an hour each way to the city center. Best area for shops in my opinion in the city for a range is around the Bukit Bintang area, and the Pavillion shopping centre area. For a bit of Chinese market try the Petaling Street. Easily reach on the monorail from KL sentral.

For Indian citizens, a visa will be required.
