I have quite a few bookings, and i just realised that i have to pay for exit row seats on QF domestic as platinum. Call centre could not find a way around it. Is this a new thing?

Yes has been the case for a year or so. We do get the close to front rows of economy as compensation.

Compensation? I don't think that's what I'd call it. We could already choose close to front row economy seats before the change.

I think platinum is offered them for free if nobody else buys them...
