United Airlines Cairns-Guam

Hello fellow travelers! I was wondering if Ausbt has noticed that United Airlines does fly from Cairns to Guam, not just from Sydney and Melbourne to mainland US. Have there been any reviews of this service, there only seems to be reviews of the service from Sydney & Melbourne.

Yes, it's a route served from their Micronesian hub of Guam with connections to HNL and Japan amongst other Micronesian islands.

Don't expect lie flats or fully flats in Business class, only recliners. It's a regional route, not long haul.

Furthermore, the schedule is pretty ugly. 3x weekly, arrival into/departure from CNS at around midnight.

I have done a similar flight MNL - GUM on the then Continental Airlines. A 3.5-4 hr flight arriving into Guam at 6am ish is similar to the CNS - GUM timetable. Average, but the seat was the most uncomfortable I had ever been on in economy.

Is this service still in their schedule?

I can't see a way to book that route on the United site

This route still exists until September 27 2015 and then it is being stopped! Terrible news for those of us flyign in to the Micronesia area
