I'm a VA gold member. I'm flying Melbourne to Darwin, arriving at 12.30am with VA. Then flying Darwin to Singapore departing at 15.45pm with Silkair the following (same) day. This is two seperate trips.
Given Darwin has no lounge access for Silkair passengers with VA status, will my VA arrivals lounge access work before flying with Silkair, or is it pushing my luck.
Whilst it doesn't hurt to try your luck... the terms and conditions are quite clear-cut.
"Velocity Platinum members can access the Virgin Australia Lounge on arrival with an eligible day of travel Virgin Australia or partner airline itinerary or boarding pass. Subject to space availability, Velocity Gold members and Lounge Members may also access the Virgin Australia Lounge on arrival with an eligible day of travel Virgin Australia or partner airline itinerary or boarding pass. The use of the Lounge is available to these members for up to 60 minutes after their flight arrival. "
on the Virgin Australia website under Lounge -> entry.
The VA lounge closes most days from around 08.00 after the morning flights until 12.00 from memory for the afternoon services, so even if they let you in once you would have to convince them into letting you in twice, might be a stretch, anyway good luck.
I arrived in Sydney on Singapore Airlines in business class when I was only on Virgin Silver. They let me use lounge upon arrival without using any of my lounge passes.

I’ve done it as a Gold member in Adelaide before connecting to a REX flight but my flights were only about 4 hours apart.

I have found Virgin to be quite flexible.

Oh...I've also arrived on Singapore Airlines in economy and used Virgin Gold to use lounge upon arrival in Adelaide.
