Depends on your status. I'm Platinum One and can get Row 4's when I book.... I think Platinum is the same. On most routes, I'd be surprised if anyone other than a Platinum or above (P1 and CL) aren't in Row 4 when you consider the 'shadow' that is often appleid to these higher tier PAX.

Available to P1s any time. Plat generally gets Row 6 and back only.
Opens up at T-80hrs (ie 3 days 8hrs before flight time)

Thanks for the tip moa999!
I can confirm OW Emeralds do not have access to rows 4-5 either.

Thanks for the replies everyone.
I am Platinum, so I suspect that when can't select these seats, they have been taken by a P1 (or a Plat who has got in before me.)

I am Gold but even when I was Silver the three day 8 hour rule still applied. I have been able to book row four on most flights but I think this comes back to how many PFF are travelling that day on that flight. Back tracking your departure time by 80 hours can sometimes mean that seating opens up at a really odd hour therefore you beat the rush / demand. I think this co-incides with the handover of the flight to the airport but I could be wrong. It seems to go like this Bronze /Silver end of aircraft to row 19, Gold end of aircraft to row 10, Platinum end of aircraft to row 6, Plat 1 anywhere behind Business.

Thanks everyone for your input. I now set reminders to select my preferred seats at 80 hours before. 100% success so far!
