booked and paid for a flight on MH from Sydney to Hyderabad on 27th August for a work trip. Just received a email from Malaysia airlines that MH140 has been cancelled on the 27th, and that I am now re booked on MH122 leaving Sydney on the 26th August, leaving me with a transit of 16 Hours and 40 mins. in KL. Any suggestions on day hotels in or around KL airport?
Neil R, a couple of suggestions. Catch a train into the city and wander around for the night, plenty of restaurants to try out. You could also book into the SamaSama hotel and get a good 8 hours sleep and a swim after.
The airport train into the city terminates at KL Sentral, in the Brickfields area. This area has some great Indian / Malay Indian restaurants (which I assume you would be interested in given your destination). Eg, Vishal's banana leaf, Legends claypot biryani, Singh chapati house, Sami's Corner for roti and dosai.
