Does anyone know if you can redeem AirNZ airpoints for domestic US flights?

Yes you can redeem Air NZ airpoints on Domestic US flights operated by Star Alliance airlines (United).

It will cost you though... (and in 99% of cases it's cheaper just to buy a cash ticket as Airpoints are seen as a 1:1 airpoint to dollar currency)

I'm under the impression that redemptions will be done under the "Intra Zone international" (even though it's domestic) but you'll have to check this with Air NZ.

For flights under 2000km it's 200 Airpoints in Economy and 650 Airpoints in First
Whilst for flights over 2000km it's 480 Airpoints in Economy and 1110 Airpoints in First

Air NZ also add on an additional 100 dollar service fee (that can be paid in cash or airpoints) + the additional taxes which for US domestic flights are US$6-12 depending on the route. Availability will match the United website so you can check prior to calling.
