I am VA Platinum FF but have been travelling a bit on SQ in Asia, but my status shows up as "Partner Silver". Anyone else had this issue and is it worth talking to SQ or VA?
I haven’t seen that. I have always had a seamless experience, albeit I have been flying mostly in Business. If flying in economy, if you show your card it should not be a problem. Have you had issues accessing lounges etc?
You sure it's not saying "PARTNER PRIORITY"? I too am VA Plat and that's what mine says. Have never had an issue getting into lounge either. Pre Plat, it said "PARTNER GOLD".
As others have said it should say Partner Priority when platinum and Partner Gold when Gold, however, showing the card always works except in some stations who think that VA Gold/Platinum is actually Star Gold.
All that being said I have seen the SQ systems confused by status and magically showing Partner Silver when it can't quite detect the status. This has happened a few times with my NZ number that at the time had no status.
Sounds like the checkin/operator has probably entered it into their system incorrectly. My flight last night shows as Gold (because their system couldn’t handle updating it to Platinum lol).

It says "Partner Silver" - happened four times now. The SQ checkin person in Adelaide had to do some kind of override.
