Is there a way to book BNE-LAX via TPE on QF codeshare flying China Airlines (online)? I tried China Airlines, QF codeshare is not listed on the booking. QF website does not allow me to book TPE-LAX!
I'm trying to avoid calling QF and waiting for hours to get this done.
No you can't. The code share agreement between QF and CI is only limited to Aus-TPE sector. Anything beyond isn't part of the agreement. So you can still fly CI with BNE-TPE sector QF coded but it'll be 2 separate tickets (QF coded will be issued by QF, and TPE-LAX issued by CI.) Although a travel agent can combine the 2 tickets in one booking, it'll be very expensive.
Gotcha! thank you Michael. Colster: Travel agent bookings are not my forte, even a small flight change requires multiple conversations with additional fees to them. I avoid them wherever i can. Not that, they do not provide good service, it does not help with my situation most of the time.
