No, US govt regulations prevent QF from selling or ticketing this route unless it's an add on to an Oz-LAX flight.

Qantas was fined US$125,000 about 12 months ago for selling such tickets inadvertently. It's called cabotage, when a foreign airline sells tickets on a domestic flight.

If you have a QF ticket from Australia to LAX, contact QF and they should be able to add this sector to the existing ticket.
