As Australian based traveler, which of the two programs is more valuable? I will be flying JFK-DPS on Delta flight operated by Korean Air, and wondering where i should put the points into. Ideally, I want to use them later in the year for shorter trips in Asia.
No experience with Delta, but Korean experience has been positive. I’m not sure if it’s the best earn or redemption rates, but it has great customer service and super easy to redeem flights or upgrades. Korean Air is a great airline and I used to fly them all the time, I miss it!
I think you mean the flight is Delta operated with an Korean flight number? because I'm not aware of any Korean flight departing to US to Indonesia. If you're travel with-in asia is mainly through or to and from Korea, then I would definitely suggest Korean Skypass since you do earn more with your Korean flight number and the redemption rate on Korean Air is quite good. If your future redemption travel is not anywhere near Korea, then Delta with be more useful with a better redemption rate across more airlines (including Virgin Australia, Virgin Atlantic, etc).
