How many guests can I take into the KrisFlyer Lounge with Velocity Platinum? Also, how many for the Koru Club with Velocity Platinum?

You can take 1 guest with you to the SQ KF lounge. For Air New Zealand, it's much more tricky. 1 guest for non- trans tasman services from BNE and CHC (3 for Trans-Tasman Services). 3 for other lounges in LAX, NZ and AUS except some regional lounges in NZ where you are allowed 1 guest. It's pretty confusing for Air NZ so it is best to check the VA website for further information.

So, if I were to go to the Koru lounge in Brisbane, assuming I was on a SQ flight with a Velocity Platinum card, would they let me take in the 3 guests?
Thanks for the help

No – you only get the three guests in the Koru lounge if you're travelling Trans-Tasman. Everywhere else it's 1.

Hi, when It comes to sharing lounges with Air NZ it is rather confusing.
+1 NZ Koru, NZ Gold, VS Gold (AKL,RAR,SYD,CHC,LAX only) Star Alliance Gold, VA Gold/Platinum on any route but not to the Pacific Islands
+2 UA 1K, SQ PPS/Solitaire,LH Hons Circle
+3 VA Platinum (Transtasman Codeshare only, again not including the Pacific Islands)
+5 NZ Gold Elite

Frequent Flyer: No worries at all. I am afraid not. They will probably direct you to the SQ lounge if you are flying SQ as VA is not part of Star Alliance so the VA Plat status doesn't not come with a equivalent Star Alliance status and NZ could simply deny you entry based on that. You can bring along 2 children under 10 into the SQ lounge. All said, you could try your luck and hope that the attendants are really nice that day but I highly doubt they will allow 3 guests when you are not flying NZ or holding NZ Elite Status.

Thanks for all your help! So, if i head to the KrisFlyer Lounge with the Plat. card, do you think they would let me take in 2 guests instead of one. I've done such a thing when I used to fly with Qantas, they never said no and just let me take the extra guest in, probably because of the high-status.

FrequentFlyer: Haven't tried bringing extra guests into VA and SQ lounges myself but it is worth a try. My mate who flies SQ says that it should be possible unless the lounge is really full. But in your case, the BNE KF lounge shouldn't be too packed as the 3 SQ flights are quite evenly spaced out so it should be alright. You will also have a 'dedicated' KF Gold Lounge in SIN as KF Gold, Star Alliance Gold and Virgin members are not allowed into the normal Buisness Class lounge (Silver Kris Lounge).
