Just wondering whether any other ausbt subscribers have had there Hilton Honors account hacked recently. I had my entire points balance stolen (over 1m pts) and used to buy things on amazon! Happened over a month ago and despite numerous conversations with customer service, points have still not been put back in my account. The fraud department is onto it and I understand through other forums this is a big problem for HH.
Really frustrating. Not happy! Anyone one else had the same thing happen recently and if so, how long did it take to get points back?
Hi inkymath, we're not able to assist in furthering individual reader complaints with travel providers, but do wish you all the best in having this resolved, and hope you're able to get your points back soon.
As a precaution, I'd suggest checking your computer for spyware / keylogging software, and changing your account password (at a bare minimum) to prevent further access, and keeping an eye on your other accounts.
Hi inkymath, I had my account hacked over Easter 2019 and it took several weeks for Hilton to fix it, but they got there in the end. Unfortunately, the new account number didn’t retain my original joining date at least not on the website/app and I was told there’s nothing they can do about it.
