I was on MH KUL-SYD this February. The business cabin has only less than 10 passengers and business suite is totally empty. Kinda explain why they switch the aircraft during the off-peak season.359 is good though.

I was wondering the same thing. But having said that, the A330 has pretty much the same seats just minus the inflatable seat controls.

well their Business class fare from HKG to SYD via KUL is cheaper than KUL direct to Syd. one way only around $1300. I am QF Platinum and I have flew their A359 J class in April. The first class lounge in KUL is not too bad though I think CX Hong Kong first class lounge is better. And if you solo traveller avoid their 3, 6,10 H&K. And definitely their A359 is better than A333. if I fly QF, CX, CI, TG from Hong Kong to Sydney. their J class more expensive. and by fly MH and I can enjoy CX first class lounge in Hong Kong also enjoy MH first class lounge in KL. I only been QF lounge in HK once. And I think enough.

I suspect they need the A359 on higher yielding longer range routes such as London.

I have asked question on MH Facebook. The answer is very standard answer. "we apologise for the delay in responding to you. Please be informed that the type of aircraft is subject to change due to operation reason."

Getting a straight answer out of MH is equivalent to seeing porcine creatures soaring in the heavens.
