Should add also that in business; the seat faces forward and becomes a fully-flat bed. The ottoman in front that forms part of the bed also function as storage space.
Acronyms in the question and answers have been replaced with 'real words': this helps all
readers understand what's being asked and said. We ask users to avoid
abbreviations like 'J', 'Y' and so on, because your average person
doesn't know what those letters mean, nor should they need to on a mainstream travel website.
I've flow a lot on TK in business and economy - mostly 3-5 hour sectors. Great food, excellent service. Haven't yet been through the new IST airport - Ataturk went from one of my favourites to one of my least favourites over the last 10 years due to a massive increase in the number of passengers, but hopefully that's been solved.
Relatively easy to reach and maintain Star Gold flying TK so think about joining Miles & Smiles before you travel.
I flew in Business class and while the seat is excellent, service was dry and food was very disappointing. After seeing and reading the reviews of Turkish Airlines, it was a real letdown. It might be due to their move to the new airport. Not sure. But one thing is for sure - Turkish Airlines have decreased their offering and it must have happened recently.
I flew them last year from IST/SFO one of several trips I've taken on TK both in B/C and E/Y. I've never been disappointed with their service nor food. They have been threatening to start flying to Australia, wish they would I'm a great fan TK.
Sorry for bucking the trend, but my flight last year to Nepal in J was terrible. Awful food and cabin crew more interested in chatting amongst themselves than serving pax.

Hi All,
Later this year a friend and I are planing a trip to Istanbul and beyond, ex Melbourne, with Turkish via Bangkok.
Could anyone give me a first hand review of Service and/or Comfort onboard the Turkish flights from Bangkok onwards.
Thanks in advance.

Food is excellent on Turkish and whilst their physical seat isn't the best, the amenities and overall soft product makes up for it.
