Apologies in advance if this is a no-brainer to some. But could someone please tell me what the relationship is between the Marco Polo Club and the Asia Miles programme. What's the difference between the two? Which one is the CX frequent flyer programme? I'm terribly confused.
For whatever reason CX has a different name for their equivalent of QFF points and status credits. Think of Marco Polo as their status credit component, that's where you have Diamond, Gold, Silver, Green. Asia Miles programme is just the redeeming points for flights and rewards etc. So anyone in the Marco Polo Club has Asia Miles which they use to redeem flights, but you can be in Asia Miles without being a Marco Polo Club member.
Sort of.. one more piece of confusion - Marco Polo Club Miles and Asia Miles are slightly different. i.e. they have slightly different bonus schemes. After any flight you will earn Asia Miles, Club Miles, and Club Sectors. The latter 2 will gain you status, and will reset every year. Asia Miles will last 3 years.

Thank you both. @spinoza: So if you want to hit Marco Polo Diamond status you need to earn 120,000 Asia Miles?
