eticket states different luggage allowance toMy bookings

A friend has a eticket from Qantas Customer Service stating that there luggage allowance is 66kgs for a economy fare Melb- Syd- Jnb. The return states 30 kgs.

If they front up with over 60kgs will Qantas honour the eticket or not!

This may depend on status. Platinum allow 3 x 23kg bags. I had American Airlines try to ping me for a third bag but the FF card sorted it out. Not sure why return is different maybe a different fare bucket.

The 66 is the 30kg value in imperial pounds

The ticket states 1 x 66kg/145lb and its economy class and Bronze member

Very strange as the limit for baggage handlers is 32kg. So a single 66kg bag would be quite something. A glitch in the system. Should be one 32kg bag or 66lb bag I expect.
