Can anyone advise which toilets premium econ passengers have access to in the refurbed QF A380 to London. Do we go forward to business or back to economy, or have we a choice or either?
You get to share the toilets with J class passengers. Alternatively, you could also head to the Y class toilet at the back but there is only 1 there so you are probably better off using the toilets in front of the PE cabin.
ThanksWayne. If I’m correct in assuming you’ve actually flown PE in the 35 seat version on a QF A380, can you comment on the legroom of the 2 seaters on the window sides versus legroom of seats in the centre section? We’ve done several trips in the orig 32 seat PE cabin & our legroom was markedly greater in our 2 seaters than those in the middle. Now, from the online seat plan they all look equal.
No worries Charlesr. As you have correctly pointed out, the new configuration has pretty similar legroom for both the centre and the window side. Any seat on row 24, will give you more legroom especially the window pairs, and no one reclinling onto you. The only disadvantage of row 24 is the proximity to the lavatory so you get a higher level of passenger movement around your seat. But this should not be such a huge issue given that PE is a pretty small cabin.
On the topic of toilets in Qantas A380s, an unusual feature is a set of "Accessible" toilets on both levels. They're HUGE. Whereas almost all aircraft toilets are tiny for one person, these ones on the Qantas A380 can easily accommodate 2 people. Keep that in mind, eh!
