Flight delays at BNE. Do you guys feel that the delays at BNE are getting worse especially during the evenings? I personally feel that it's pretty bad nowadays with many of my evening flights delayed.
I've found that it has got better in the past month or so. Earlier this year it was horrible. There are the odd "series of right turns" that have been requested ATC but mostly it has been ok. I guess the fact that most and not all of your flights are delayed is a small win, previously every single flight was delayed.
Yea. Probably cos I am flying earlier in the evenings as compared to a while ago that's why I am caught in such delays. Looking on the bright side, the situation is helped by the weather which been pretty good these days coupled with the restoration of the cross runway.
Hi Tezza, I haven't got the experience of getting dropped out at the Freight Terminal but it does sound pretty bad. I must have been pretty lucky at SYD.
Usually you find between Sydney and Brisbane/Perth airports they operate COBT(Calculated off blocks time).Between Sydney and these two ports due to too many flights and in conjuction with a
lack of suitable runways and infrastructure etc they more carefully gate hold or require flights to leave slightly earlier to reduce airborne holding.Lets just face it,Australian airports have been neglected and haven't kept up the pace to the increase in flights. Most of our airports need more runways and more capable ground to air navigation approach aids to allow landings in low visibility, namely FOG.Since now is the season to be foggy!

Hi Waynec - yes .... Sydney is not much better. They often run out of gates and drop the passengers off at the Freight terminal then bus.
