I've been reading a lot regarding Virgin Australia Regional Airlines. It says that the airline is planning to operate A320 services between Broome and Singapore. Anyone can confirm that?
Well there was no mention of any new routes for VA Regional in yesterday's AusBT article from the launch, and nothing anywhere else so I'd say nothing like that was announced at the launch, which makes it a rumour. But as Peter says it might well be on the cards if the demand is there.
Considering Skywest operated flights between Port Hedland and Denpasar, I wouldn't completely rule out XR operating flights to Singapore provided there's demand.
Singapore is a bit far for a regional carrier but given that QantasLink operates flights between Cairns and Port Moresby, it's not all that impossible. However, VA needs quite alot of passengers to sustain an A320 on this route and given that Perth-SIN has quite a bit of surplus capacity, so it remains to be seen if this route can be operated profitably.
I think you might be right. Have a look under the Airbus blog and it comes up with that notification. http://airbusdeliveries.blogspot.com.au/ update 997 Airbus A320 -232 1922 VH-YUD Skywest onward delivery 07may13 XSP-PER after paint into Virgin Australia cs ex G-MEDH

Al, I found it on Wikipedia. I understand that it could be incorrect so that's why I like to check them AusBT or a news source.
