I requested a refund for cancelled international flights. I did that because at the time a credit voucher for the flights had to be used by the end of August this year (I know they later extended that date but my refund request was already being processed - and still is!). I noticed on the refund page that the (promised) refund amount was only the ticket price, less the credit card fees and without the carbon offset charge associated with the flight. Has anyone else noticed that Qantas seems to have overlooked a refund of the carbon offset?
The terms and conditions are that the offset payment is not refundable. This is clearly stated when making the offset purchase.
When QFF points are earned on offset payments, they are credited within 7 days of booking. The member retains these points regardless of whether the flight operates.
