I've never used the QC lounge in terminal 2 but wondered if anyone has an opinion on which lounge is better - would I be better off killing time in the T3 QC and just go across the T2 for boarding, or is the QC in terminal 2 ok for a longer wait?
Cheers

I would use the T3 QC, the one in T2 is slowly being rundown. Then you can walk around to T2 for boarding. Not sure about the connection between the terminals as don't fly Qantas Link much.

I definitely prefer the T3 lounge - its larger and, depending on the time of day your wait is, the T2 lounge can get very packed, sometimes hard to get a seat. The decor & ambience (if that is important to you) is nicer in the T3 lounge as well.

While I prefer the T3 lounge, you will have to leave T3 approximately 25 mins prior to your scheduled bording time to get through security at T2 which especially at peak time can be long, and there is no priority boarding for QF members at T2.

The Terminal 2 Qantas Club in Sydney Kingsford Smith is smaller but quieter. It also has slower wifi and not so much food so unless noise is a major thing to you, Terminal 3 is your best pick and most Qantas flights depart from that terminal anyway. The Terminal 2 Qantas Club will close down as QantasLink shifts its flights to Terminal 3 later this year.
