I will not be flying domestically but will do BNE-SIN-BKK in Busineee class as soon as this is possible. SQ have announced one flight a week BNE-SIN, and also flights SIN-BKK starting soon. I have a long term Thai visa so wont return to BNE until the 2 week quarantine is lifted. I need to get up country in Thailand and will fly Thai Air Asia or Thai Smile, depending on the seating arrangements. I could drive but Thai roads are far more dangerous than any virus.

Planning Japan over Easter 2021 - assuming we can, by then.
Have a Viking cruise booked London to Norway in June next year; will be interesting to see if that goes ahead.
Unfortunately 3 1/2 weeks in Croatia in June this year was postponed :(

Have flights Syd-London and Zurich - Syd booked for late March/April. J flights on points, but will be interesting to see if they go ahead. Worth the punt as worst we can lose is 6k points each.

I'm considering a trip to Norfolk Island once they've reopened, which I assume will come earlier than international travel to countries outside our potential Trans-Tasman or Asian bubbles. Perfect opportunity to start ticking boxes on my Australian external territories list instead.
Everything I've read tells me that Norfolk is nice and quiet with little excitement, which sounds like exactly what I need after the stress of the past few months...

I should have just returned from a 5 week trip to UK, Russia and Switzerland. I booked last August for departure on 5th May and had paid in full for airfare, cruise in Russia and coach tour in Switzerland. Now all my money is held in credit for at least a year. I'm hoping to take the same trip next year, at about the same time, but it all depends on restrictions. We've all heard about the disaster in UK and I think Russia is similar. I'd like to go back to UK to visit family, but won't be heart-broken if I have to cancel Russia and Switzerland. In the meantime, I'm thinking about somewhere in Australia, perhaps to Mallacoota and further up the coast into NSW, or to northen Australia.

I'll be resuming my 4 - 5 trips a year to Uganda, Nigeria and Ethiopia. That all depends on whether these destinations re-open and what their quarantine requirements are. Having said that, the prospect of getting COVID19 and struggling to breathe in one of the less than satisfactory hospitals in these countries, is rather sobering. It may cause me to wait longer before I travel, when there is at least medication that gives me a fighting chance.

Starting May, hopefully Spain (Galicia), France (SE) visiting friends, UK visiting friends, Scotland visiting family, short Scandinavian cruise if possible. This was postponed from this year. Greg Hunt's hints that no international travel until a CV19 virus is available worries me as can't see that being widely available if at all until early 2022.
In the meantime see more of Western QLD and visit friends/family in Sydney and Melbourne.

We were disappointed not to be able to go to Melbourne and Cairns in May. The European Council's newest list of 15 countries where it's recommended EU member states allow non-essential travel include Australia, Canada, Japan, New Zealand, etc. If Aus/NZ similarly allow Canada for non-esssential travel, I hope to be able to visit Australia from Canada avoiding the US, either a direct flight from Canada, or via AKL. Or a trip to Europe at least.

Are we all feeling as optimistic as we were when we posted a month ago? Dismal prospects at moment. I'm thinking of writing off next year in terms of long haul international travel - for my own sanity.
