SYD-AKL ham and cheese crosiant with yoghurt and fruit (catered ex AKL) was fine.
AKL-SCL two meals, both hot meals with wine (from large bottles) soft drink (from large bottles) or whiskey. Tea and coffee on collection.
All very basic, but consistently delivered on china plates, metal cutlery. So it's not elaborate, and for the 10 hours between meals you will not see the crew, but they have drinks and snacks available from the rear galley.
LAN has a ok level of service. Quite similar to the likes of Malaysian Airlines. It's a step below the standards of QF,SQ,CX etc thou. If you are flying on the days which QF flights operates and don't mind paying a bit more, QF may be a good option as it is a direct flight which can save you a few hours and an AKL transit.

I've always liked LAN's service. I haven't taken them for a few year however was regularly on the flight to SCL until then and I'd recommend them.

Haven't flown with them for a couple of years but my experiences have been OK. Catering and cabin were on a par with most other full service carriers.
