Two things are clear about the Darwin stop. Firstly it's not a Stopover at all. Passengers will not be permitted to exit the terminal, and the flight will not be taking on any additional passengers at Darwin. This is a result of current NT government travel restrictions.

RML I suspect like Perth people will go to the Qantas lounge or the boarding area. I am sure there will be no domestic flights scheduled at that time to ensure full separation, and local staff interaction will be limited.

In an interview with ABC Darwin Radio yesterday, the Chief Minister indicated NT passengers will be able to join the flight in Darwin.

Interesting to know …
With the stopover now in DRW what actually happens during the 90mins on the ground for the passengers?
Stay on the plane or wait in lounge / terminal?
If you get off what’s in DRW etc ?
Thanks

Goes without saying you cannot leave the terminal, more interested to know what happens.

Can I ask, do you think the passenger loads numbers will be limited because of the distance?
